High performance properties
- does not require additional mixing during operation due to almost complete emulsion stability
- has excellent cleaning and penetrating properties
- does not require frequent coolant changes in circulation systems
- low foaming
- frost-resistant – does not lose its properties when frozen
- is biostatic – has high resistance to microorganisms and fungi
High ecological properties
- does not emit a sharp unpleasant odor
- in the form of a concentrate and emulsion does not penetrate intact skin, does not have a sensitizing effect, does not have an irritating effect on the skin, mucous membranes of the eyes and upper respiratory tract
- does not irritate the skin of the hands
- does not contain nitrites, boric acid, ethylene glycol, phenol derivatives that are harmful to health
- is not an intensive source of air pollution in the working area
- according to toxicological properties, it belongs to low-hazard substances (the lowest hazard class IV according to GOST 12.1.007-76)
High efficiency
- low consumption
- low concentration (the concentrate is diluted with water many times)
- practically insensitive to water hardness
- does not require special preparation of water used to dilute the coolant
- long service life in circulation systems without replacement
- used coolant is easily decomposed using conventional technology
Use
Politren E-251 is supplied as a concentrate and must be diluted with water before use. It can be diluted periodically or continuously. When diluting periodically, it is sufficient to use a conventional mixer and stir for 10-30 minutes, then let it stand and stir finally. For the continuous method, high-speed ejector or other mixers are used.
The emulsion concentration is selected empirically, taking into account the type and speed of the processing operation, the grade of the metal being processed and other operating conditions.
It is recommended to work with an emulsion concentration of 3-4% during grinding operations.
For blade processing operations, the average concentration is 5-6%, under medium and heavy duty conditions, the concentration is increased to 6-10%, rolling and tempering 2-3%.
Before pouring Politren E-251 coolant, the machines and coolant supply lines must be flushed and disinfected from previously used coolant. It is best to do this using a special cleaning and disinfecting agent Politren MD-5.
Safety Requirements, Toxicological Properties and Environmental Protection
According to its toxicological properties, Politren E-251 is classified as a low-hazard substance (the lowest hazard class IV according to GOST 12.1. 007-76).
Politren E-251 in the form of a concentrate and emulsion does not penetrate intact skin, does not have a sensitizing effect, does not irritate the skin, mucous membranes of the eyes and upper respiratory tract, and is not an intensive source of air pollution in the working area.
The main component polluting the air of the working area when using the cutting fluid Politren E-251 is a surfactant aerosol (MPC 5 mg/m3). The premises in which work is carried out with Polytren E-251 must be equipped with continuously operating supply and exhaust mechanical ventilation.
Monitoring of the air environment in production facilities is carried out according to the schedule of monitoring the air environment of the workshop, agreed with local sanitary and epidemiological authorities.
Service personnel working with the cutting fluid Politren E-251 must be provided with a set of special clothing and personal protective equipment in accordance with typical industry standards.
When preparing working emulsions of cutting fluid Politren E-251 and when using them, the requirements of the “Sanitary Rules for Working with Cooling Fluids and Technological Lubricants”, No. 3935-85 dated September 29, 1985, must be observed.
Cutting fluid Politren E-251 that gets on the skin of the hands or face must be removed with a clean soft cloth, the remains must be washed off with plenty of water or rinsed with warm water. If coolant gets on the mucous membrane of the eyes, rinse the eyes with plenty of warm water and put in albucid (sulfacyl sodium) drops.
If coolant gets on the working parts of the mechanisms, remove it with a rag and wash off the remains with water.
The maximum permissible concentration of Politren E-251 lubricant in water bodies (MPCv), determined by the most toxic water-soluble component triethanolamine, is 1.4 mg/l, the maximum concentration of Politren E-251, determined by triethanolamine, fed to biological treatment (MKb), is 5 mg/l.
To develop and manufacture its products, POLIHIM uses its own laboratory and production facilities, which are equipped with all the necessary equipment.
